Filipinos are known as great designers.They notably known for their exquisite wedding gowns.FLORES  de MAYO sa MOA is one  fashion event that recognizes Filipino craft and creativity.It attracts the tourists to come and visit our country for it is indeed beautiful.

*Flores de Mayo is a Catholic festival in the month of May to honor the Virgin Mary.Flores, from the Spanish word for “flowers,” also known as Flores de Mayo (Flowers of May).

Last May 24 Sunday ,The FLORES  de MAYO sa MOA was held at the Music Hall of  SM Mall of Asia to showcase different gowns made by our country`s great designers.First was a fashion show of the Sagalas in front of the honorable judges for this  most awaited fashion contest.Then the Procession of the Sagalas.A guest performance by Jan Nieto of GMA 7.And the show was hosted by Ms. Boots Anson Roa & Mr. Leo Martinez.

*A Sagala is a religious-historical beauty pageant held in many cities, towns and even in small communities throughout the Philippines during the month of May.

POND`S Gandang Filipina Award: Sagala no. 10 Glenifer Perido Designer: Rikko Escaro

*Glennifer Perido`s gown is an ensemble in aqua blue tafetta,embellished in different shades of aqua blue and highlighted with silver beadwork.
